Our History

York Group started its Journey as a Buying Agent for international Buyers in 1997 & continued its business with good reputation. In this Long journey we introduce several renowned & reputed International buyers with Bangladesh Garments industry. To give the buyer’s a better support York Group introduced its first export oriented Garments Factory in 1997 named as York Fashion Ltd., due to buyer demand and to meet the commitment the Group expands its business with York Composite Ltd. (100% export Oriented Garments Manufacturer) in 2001 & York Composite Ltd. (100% export oriented Knitting & Dyeing Factory) in 2004.

PREFACE : York Group is a 100% export oriented company Knit & Woven Garments manufacturer from Bangladesh. It is a private Limited Company owned by Family Corporation founded in 1997. The company started with a small capacity.Due to our client’s satisfaction the demand had increased and our capacity was expanded to 20,000-30,000 pieces garments daily production and a total work force of 1566. Since we have already penetrated to the foreign market with qualitative garment and products, we are able to compete with all other export oriented readymade garments manufacturer in the global market.

Mr. Salim Khan, Managing Director of York Group has an excellent business background and is highly reputed for his relentless endeavors and dynamism.Mr. Salim Khan is the symbol of hardworking manners and humanism. Mr. Salim Khan, a born leader has started his journey in 1997 with York Fashion Ltd. In less than two decades, he has guided the organization to emerge as a business summation in Bangladesh with 2 Garments House and 1 Knitting Dyeing Factory. York Group also has its own Print & Embroidery Factory to minimize the unemployment problem of the country and in contributing to the national GDP. Since starting his career in the field of business, Mr.Salim Khan took his higher study in the USA, and from that time he started to draw his dream to come back to Bangladesh and to do something to change the fate of poor people of his own country. Especially he wanted to make a field for the deprived and helpless women of this country -where they will be the changer of their destiny. Since then, he is diligent & devoted to completing his target. All the workers & employees are known to him elaborately. He is so much kind-hearted with efficiency as well as he doesn't compromise with any kind of dishonesty. His life story is an integral part of our strategic commitment, and we are always guided by strong ethical values to operate responsibly within a broader social and economic context.
